YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy notice

How Fur & Flair Dog Grooming uses your information when you contact us or request a grooming appointment.

Last updated: 5 November 2026

Who we are

Fur & Flair Dog Grooming is a dog grooming business operated by Rebecca, based inside Furever Friends, 1A Newington Road, St Lawrence, Ramsgate, CT11 0QT. Fur & Flair is responsible for deciding how customer information submitted through this website is used. To ask a question about your data, email furandflair@outlook.com or telephone 07703 800329.

What we collect

For appointment requests we ask for your name, contact number, email address, dog's name, breed and size, selected service, preferred appointment date and time, and any notes you choose to provide. All booking contact fields are required except notes. For general enquiries we collect your name, message, and either a phone number or email address. To operate the service safely we also process limited technical information such as request IP addresses for abuse prevention, access logs and administrator session cookies. Dog photographs are published in the gallery only with the owner's permission.

Why we use your information

  • To manage your grooming appointment: to review, approve, change or cancel your request and to send confirmations and a reminder about 24 hours before an approved appointment. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and performing a contract, where applicable.
  • To respond to a message: to answer your questions and follow up on enquiries. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in responding to customer contact, or pre-contract steps when your enquiry concerns a service.
  • To keep the website secure: to protect booking availability and prevent fraud or misuse, including limited rate limiting and admin authentication. Lawful basis: legitimate interests in operating a secure service.
  • To display gallery photographs: only where the person supplying the photographs has given the appropriate permission. You can ask for a photo to be removed at any time.

Appointment emails are service messages, not marketing emails. We do not add you to a marketing list when you make a booking. We do not sell customer details.

Where the information goes

Appointment and enquiry records are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database and selected gallery images in private Cloudflare R2 storage. Cloudflare hosts the website. We use Resend to send transactional emails, which may process the relevant contact details and appointment information needed for delivery. The business also receives email notifications in Microsoft Outlook. If Rebecca enables the optional one-way Google Calendar integration, confirmed appointment dates, dog details, service, customer name and telephone number are also stored in a calendar that she controls through Google Calendar. Customer email addresses and free-text notes are not copied to Google Calendar, and Google Calendar changes never alter the Fur & Flair booking database. These providers may use facilities outside the UK; where international transfers are involved, the business must ensure the relevant lawful transfer arrangements apply. Access to booking and enquiry records is restricted to Rebecca's password-protected administrator area.

How long we retain information

We keep appointment and enquiry information while it is reasonably needed to deal with the service, follow-ups, disputes and applicable legal or financial recordkeeping requirements. Older records are subject to review and deletion or anonymisation when no longer necessary. The exact retention period can vary with the type of record and any legal obligation; contact us to ask about a specific record. Website security rate-limit data is short-lived, and administrator sessions expire automatically. Gallery images remain until removed or the permission for publication is withdrawn.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data; restrict or object to its use; and request portability where applicable. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it. Email us at furandflair@outlook.com to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Certain records may need to be retained for legal reasons.

If you remain unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator.

Cookies and external links

We use an essential secure session cookie only for the private administrator login. The public booking form does not require an advertising cookie. The interactive Google Map is loaded only if you select it; Google's own privacy practices then apply. Clicking Instagram, Facebook or Google Review links takes you to those providers' websites, which have their own privacy policies.

We may update this notice if our services, technology or legal obligations change. The current version will always appear on this page.
